Epson announces new extreme short throw PowerLite 810E projector and other models

May 10, 2023

Epson will debut its new PowerLite 810E, PowerLite L series and Pro series projectors at InfoComm 2023. The event takes place in Florida between June 14 and 16. The PowerLite 810E is billed as an Extreme Short Throw device, a first from the brand; a product listing for the PowerLite EB810E at Protech Projection suggests the gadget can create an 80-in (~203 cm) image when placed 1-in (~3 cm) away from the wall.

The lamp-free projector has been designed for use in the classroom or meeting rooms, with up to 5,000 lumens brightness, 4K enhancement and a maximum recommended projection size of 160-in (~406 cm). The PowerLite 810E offers 16:9 and 21:9 aspect ratios, with integrated speakers, digital zoom and controls via the Epson Setting Assist app. The PowerLite L series also has 4K enhancement, with a native WUXGA resolution and up to 7,000 lumens brightness. You can use the projectors to throw images up to 500-in (~1,270 cm) wide, and the gadgets are compatible with the PixAlign camera for easy multi-projector setup

The Epson Pro, or EB-PQ series, are 4K projectors delivering a peak brightness of between 8,000 and 20,000 lumens. These models use 3LCD color and 4K Crystal Motion technologies, bringing panel thermo-control and double micro-lens array. It is unclear precisely when you will be able to buy these new Epson projectors or how much the PowerLite L series and Epson Pro series will cost; the Epson PowerLite EB-810E retails for US$3,299. The company also recently announced the Epson Brightlink 770Fi Interactive UST Lamp-Free Laser Display.
